Key Responsibilities

  • Chemical Process Control: Set up, operate, and maintain automated and manual wet-process lines for PCB plating, stripping, and chemical etching.
  • Substrate Preparation: Load and unload raw circuit board panels into chemical tanks, ensuring proper immersion times and agitation.
  • Quality Inspection: Use micrometers, visual inspection tools, and magnifying equipment to verify copper thickness and trace integrity against blueprints.
  • Solution Maintenance: Monitor chemical levels, temperatures, and pH balances in the tanks; assist with safely adding chemicals to maintain process standards.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following environmental guidelines for chemical handling and disposal.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs of production quantities, chemical adjustments, and quality check results.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in PCB fabrication, industrial electroplating, chemical processing, or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred (but not required).
  • Skills: High mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret basic production blueprints or process routing sheets.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ability to follow strict, multi-step chemical recipes and timing instructions down to the second.

Cleanroom Operator

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour

Monday – Friday – A, B, and C shifts available

Job Summary:

Responsible for several tasks related to manufacturing medical device components outside and inside an ISO class 8 cleanrooms. This includes operating injection molding machine, inspection testing and assembly of medical device sub-assemblies. Maintains cleanroom processes and procedures along with Safety and Quality manufacturing requirements.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

· Operating molding machines and assembles plastic medical device components and subassemblies with the understanding of molding cosmetic default such as, short shots, flash, splay, burns, and sick.

· Perform in-process visual inspection of components and sub-assemblies throughout the process as outline in associated SWI.

· Maintain work area and cleanroom cleanliness as outline in 5S cleaning log.

· Maintain documentation and paperwork to support production activities as outline in SWIs.

· Support non-cleanroom manufacturing processes as requested by supervisor based on production needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Prior experience in a manufacturing cleanroom environment preferred.

· Prior plastics injection molding experience preferred.

· Ability to read and speak English.

· Ability to perform work under magnification.

· Position requires fine dexterity and motor skills, including the ability to manipulate small parts and perform detailed work.

· Ability to learn and display an understanding of quality, safety and process knowledge.

· Capable of working with team members and effectively communicating with team members.

· Able to follow verbal and written instructions and consistently demonstrate compliance.

· Able to work independently as well as alongside team members.

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Food and drink, other than water, is not permitted at the workstation. Water must be kept in closed self-contained container.

· Manufacturing environment requiring appropriate PPE.

· Manufacturing in ISO Class 8 cleanrooms requiring proper PPE including gloves and face mask.

· Exposure to typical noise levels in the work environment that may require hearing protection.

· Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight hours per day
