Responsibilities include:

  • Review, qualify and/or calibrate parts, and to ensure we have properly met or exceeded customer requirements
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures and work instructions for production operations as needed or directed by the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Read and understand manufacturing drawings, specs and tolerances. Be familiar with geometric tolerancing
  • Must understand and comply with the quality objectives of the department and company
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
  • Perform product calibrations using microscope and measuring equipment


  • High School diploma, GED
  • Must be detail oriented and meticulous

  • Microscope or measurement experience is a plus

Job duties/description:
• HVAC and Refrigeration system application design
• HVAC and Refrigeration system design including compressor, blower, fan, and valve selection
• System control scheme design, Psychrometric load calculations
• Refrigeration system troubleshooting, Airflow analysis and duct design
• Performs new project design and development, updates previous designs in compliance with company quality process
• Periodically reviews current design to obtain cost savings
• Review Customer Specifications and design to meet requirements
• Provides technical support as needed
• Maintains contact with suppliers and evaluates their proposals
• Stays current on new components, design and manufacturing methods and other industry trends by attending vendor trade shows, vendor training, and reading trade journals
• Provides technical support and documentation during the development of unit owner’s and operator’s manuals
Knowledge Required:
• Knowledge of 3-D and 2-D CAD design, project management, manufacturing, word processing, spreadsheet, psychometrics
